Tripoli Health Day
In collaboration with LeMSIC (an independent, student-run, non-partisan, non-governmental, and not-for-profit organization), National Wellness Network (NWN) organized a Free Health Day in Tripoli on Sunday July 25th, 2021.
The Free Medical Day was an initiative from medical students around Lebanon to provide free healthcare, awareness, and screening to whoever needs it, free of charge. From the point of view that proper healthcare is a basic human right, we intended in our project to put all our knowledge and effort in the public service through delivering the best medical care to the attendees.
More than 70 patients were offered free medical examinations, which included nutrition assessment (BCA test), in addition to a vision test run by NWN specialists in collaboration with very distinguished MUBS students from the Public Health School as well as nutrition and optometry students.
This campaign is part of the Modern University for Business & Science (MUBS) and NWN commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG-3 to promote health and wellness and SDG-17, to build partnership towards the goals.
